MISCELLANEOUS

Kenneth G. Dallas of Barnwood, Gloucester, informed me that his great-great-grandfather, George Dallas, was a handloom weaver who was living in Paisley, Scotland, at the time of the 1841 census. Born about 1790 in Ireland, he was brought to Scotland shortly thereafter. George Dallas's parents may have been George Dallas and Isabella Kirkwood.
