I wrote to the Lisburn Registration Office seeking information on the marriages of James Brennan to Catherine Lynch about 1870-1875 and of James Brennan to Catherine Walker Johnston about 1870-1875. This was motivated by the appearance of these parents in the birth records, by the appearance of two of these men in the Griffith Valuation and, ultimately, by their geographic proximity to Kilwarlin and a possible relationship with Edward Brennan. The registrar conducted a quite extensive search without finding any record.
